My Memoir
My summer in Honduras was really fun and also really sad at the same time. I went with my mother to Honduras on July 15 2006. I was fifteen years old when I returned to my homeland after being away for four years.
I spent a lot of time with my family and my friends we stayed. At my grandmother's house. I went to the carnival with my friends and also I went to the beach with my friends in Honduras . I had such a good summer. I had a chance to see everything and everyone that I left behind when I came here.
There were many specials times that I enjoyed with my family .I loved being with my pets again. I have a dog name Suzie she's a chiguagua and lulu my black and white cat. I played with them everyday and my cat even slept on my bed. The food in Honduras was really delicious. I cooked with my grandmother and I specially liked when I spent time with her. My friends and some close neighbors looked much older and I almost could not recognize them. They hugged me and had many questions to ask me. 'What grade are you in? Do you like U.S.A?'My grandparents own a ranch. I was riding my horse everyday. The grass on the ranch is really green and when the sun comes out it is like a new birth of the land .Another activity was bike riding in the city Arimis is like my town of Chelsea , but smaller .
I was so happy until my grandfather died he died when I was in Honduras that was the last time that I saw my grandpa and my brother . My brother died 3 months after my grandfather died. That summer was so sad because my grandfather died that's WHY the summer of 2006 is memorable for me
