Allvater nahm des Narfis Tochter Nacht, um nun allabendlich mit Hrimfaxi die Bahnen zu ziehen, und ihr lichter Sohn Tag fährt nun jeden Morgen mit Skinfaxi, um die Erde zu erleuchten. Mani und Sol, des Mundilfiöris beiden Kinder, setzten sie an den Himmel und hießen die Sonne, die Hengste Arwakur und Alwisdur zu führen, welche den Sonnenwagen zogen.
Aber Mani leitet seitdem den Gang des Mondes und herrschte nun über den Wechsel von Neumond und Vollmond, um die Zeiten des Jahres zu bezeichnen.
